The Cappuccino bar is a traditional Italian restaurant situated in Newnham Street, Bedford, next to the old Peacocks auctioneers!

With it’s relaxed and intimate atmosphere it is the ideal setting for any occasion, whether it is romantic meal for two, a dinner with family or a lively celebration you have in mind. We also cater for parties big or small and have disabled access. Sit in the restaurant or in the Italian style covered courtyard.

Attended for a friend’s birthday. Whilst the place is reasonably priced the quality of the food and wine was poor. Mentioned to the the waiter who said he would tell the kitchen…. Would have preferred a token gesture in response but just got a nod.

Took a long time from ordering till the starters arrived, the starters were nice, main course was bland. When paying the staff member commented on the item I had ordered (a vegetarian med veg pizza) and said something like you should have got something with a cured meat on it if you wanted a better option. I am not a vegetarian but do often pick a vegetarian option and that comment wasn't very necessary.

Down from the North East and came here yesterday after been recommended by family. I had the sea Bass pasta dish and must say it was delicious. The atomosphere Was lovely and the staff were very welcoming. I will definitely return.

What a little gem this place is! The food was absolutely incredible, went for something different for me and was absolutely blown away. So flavoursome, great portion, fresh foods - honestly delicious and really well priced. Something for everyone. All staff we saw were so lovely and friendly, nothing was too much to ask of them. I will definitely be back!

I was taken here for lunch for father's day Saturday 14th June a party of 7. 3 of us ordered linguine with scallops what we got was spaghetti with prawns no scallops and was told that the linguine would take too long to cook 2 of our party had coca cola which was flat the menu said a free glass of wine with the meal this was not the case the waitress couldn't be bothered very rude also 5 of our party asked for a dessert it was about 2.30 pm and was told it was too late even though the restaurant didn't close until 3 pm .My daughter in law sent an email of complaint and was totally ignored. I am 79 years old and this completely spoiled my father's day suprise cannot recommend
